The Challenge

To provide Assura Medical with a fully managed, centrally hosted, resilient IT and Communications solution to enable them to provide their customers with state-of-art enhanced services, diagnostics and out-patient services in all of their medical facilities.

Solution

Assura partnered with 4Net to help deliver upon a vision to provide a fully managed working environment for medical professionals, similar to that of a serviced office, but with medical equipment such as MRI scanners. 4Net designed and delivered a fully managed, centrally hosted, resilient IT and Communications solution. Core to the solution was the MPLS Wide Area Network, managed by 4Net with priority for voice over data and ensure toll quality voice calls both between sites, and for a central PSTN breakout from the network to reduce call charges and line rental costs. Central hosting of the network provided all remote Assura sites with access to all the same applications and services, reducing timescales and costs associated with the installation and ongoing service and management costs. Centralised voicemail and Tiger Call Management provided Assura with the capabilities to deliver individual bills to each client, centralised email and desktop facilities were also provided via citrix to ensure security.
